My Lips are sealed, it's all about the lips baby! ???

For those of you out there who are not aware, I am a self-confessed lipstick junkie. I love them: wearing them, collecting them, staring at them…YEP. I’m weird like that. I even have this picture on a lips chair! I love them yet I don’t wear them all the time. I have lipstick ON days, and lipstick OFF days. Is that weird? We are who we are. I am who I am.

What is this post all about anyway? Well, I just wanted to share my lipstick collection. Picture below:

It’s not as much as other people have, but with this amount, I already get overwhelmed. I wouldn’t mind having one or two lipstick, or one of every color known to man, and honestly I would probably buy more if given the chance. I do give away a lot as well.

Different lipsticks, different functions?
.
There are different types of ‘lipsticks’ now in the market.
.
There are ‘liquid lipsticks‘, which are melted lipsticks with the same application with lipgloss. They are designed to last longer on the lips. My favorite formula is from the Rimmel brand line. They last all day, doesn’t chip away and are very affordable! Liquid lipsticks are the hype right now. Almost every brand comes out with their own version own formula of it.
.
Then there are the lip liners. They basically exist for you to line your lips and avoid “spillage” of the lipstick “ink”, if such terms exist. Some people line their or other people’s lips to make them appear bigger than they are (the trend Kylie Jenner didn’t invent yet became popular because of her). Not as a pillage to her, but I love the Kylie Lip kit lipliners. They’re not the cheapest out there but I just love them and mine are shrinking as the days go by.
.
Lipstick crayons. What?! Basically, these lipsticks are packaged in the “crayon” sorta way. Colourpop Cosmetics are popular with this. But I think, I could be mistaken though, Revlon started this trend years ago. They tend to last longer than the normal classic lipsticks. ;0
.
Lip stains. I am pretty sure the Koreans have made this popular, via Kpop industry. That’s my take though. Don’t quote me on that! Lip stains are basically “lip tints” where you just leave your lips to look naturally red, or pink, or whatever color your heart desires.
.
Lipstick Finish, what are they?
.
This is the matte, satin, creamy, gloss, stain, sheer… you name it, the makeup companies have it! Just so you won’t be confused, you can just categorize them into matte or satin. If they look dry, they’re matte. If it’s shiny? It’s satin. There are lipsticks that are comfortable on the lips, and some can be extremely annoying too.
.
Too much information? You don’t have to know all of those things! I didn’t even study them, I just learned along the way. Anyway, at the end of the day, does it really matter what we wear on our lips? What comes out of our mouth is much more important than the aesthetics we present to people, hey?
.
love you guys! thanks for dropping by.
(PS. Would you want me to post my favorite lipsticks? )
